Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stably manufacturing a lithium transition metal compound oxide having an average particle size of 10 μm or less which is suitable as a positive electrode active material for lithium ion secondary battery capable of charge and discharge at a high current density. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of obtaining a lithium transition metal compound oxide of particle shape by spraying, drying, and calcinating a slurry containing lithium source and transition metal source; or by mixing the lithium source and calcinating the slurry after spraying and drying the slurry containing the transition metal source; the slurry is sprayed using a three fluid nozzle or a four fluid nozzle, and its slurry concentration is made 1 to 40 wt%, and gas fluid supply volume/slurry supply volume is made 500 or more and less than 1500. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
【課題】 高い電流密度での充放電可能なリチウムイオン二次電池用の正極活物質として好適な、平均粒子径が10μm以下のリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を安定的に製造する方法を提供する。 【解決手段】 リチウム源と遷移金属源とを含有するスラリーを噴霧乾燥し、これを焼成処理するか、又は遷移金属源を含有するスラリーを噴霧乾燥した後、これにリチウム源を混合して焼成処理して、粒状のリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を得る方法において、上記スラリーを三流体ノズル又は四流体ノズルを用いて噴霧し、そのスラリー濃度を1〜40重量%とし、気流体供給量/スラリー供給量を500以上1500未満とする。 【選択図】 なし
